Careers at GCA Technology Services

Most IAM practitioners get pulled into adjacent IT work that dilutes their expertise. At GCA, IAM is the entire business - every client, every project, every conversation. If you want to build deep identity and access management expertise with the tools and clients that matter, this is the environment for it.

Why Work at GCA

Most IAM practitioners spend their careers as part of a larger IT services firm where identity is one practice among dozens. At GCA, IAM is the entire business. That distinction changes the nature of the work. Every client engagement is an IAM engagement. Every conversation is an IAM conversation. The depth of knowledge your colleagues carry and the caliber of the problems you work on reflect that focus.

Pure-Play IAM Focus

GCA works exclusively in Identity and Access Management. You will not be asked to do unrelated IT work or dilute your IAM practice with adjacent services. Every project, every client, every tool selection is an IAM decision. For practitioners who want to go deep rather than broad, GCA is built for it.

Remote-First Culture

GCA operates as a remote-first organization. Our team works from wherever they are most effective. We invest in clear communication, documented decisions, and asynchronous collaboration rather than office-floor proximity. Client engagement travel is scoped and purposeful, not automatic.

Platform Depth Across the IAM Landscape

GCA practitioners work across the top IAM platforms: Okta, SailPoint, Microsoft Entra, CyberArk, OpenText, and others. You will develop hands-on expertise with the platforms enterprises run, including the complex legacy environments that require deep technical skill to support and modernize.

Regulated Industry Clients

GCA's client base spans healthcare, financial services, energy, and other regulated industries. The compliance context, HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS, NERC CIP, is embedded in how we design and deliver IAM programs. If you want to understand why IAM controls exist, not only how to configure them, working in regulated environments provides that context.

What We Look For

GCA hires IAM practitioners who have earned their expertise through production deployments, not just certification study. GCA values practitioners who have operated real environments, navigated real failures, and developed the judgment that comes from doing the work rather than reading about it.

IAM Engineering Experience

Hands-on experience implementing or operating one or more enterprise IAM platforms. GCA looks for practitioners who can configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and extend IAM systems, not just describe how they work. Production deployment experience in any of the following areas is valued: SSO and federation, identity lifecycle and provisioning, privileged access management, identity governance, or directory services.

Vendor Certifications

Certifications from Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, Microsoft, or other established IAM vendors demonstrate platform-specific knowledge and commitment to the discipline. We do not require certifications as a gate, but they signal the investment a practitioner has made in staying current with platform capabilities and best practices.

Consulting Mindset

GCA practitioners work directly with client stakeholders: security teams, IT leadership, compliance officers, and end users. The ability to communicate technical decisions clearly, scope work honestly, manage expectations, and deliver what you committed to matters as much as technical depth. GCA looks for practitioners who take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks.

Regulated Industry Awareness

Experience working in or alongside regulated industries, healthcare, financial services, energy, or government, is a significant asset. Understanding the compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOX, NIST SP 800-53, PCI-DSS) that drive IAM program requirements helps practitioners design solutions that hold up under audit scrutiny, not just operational pressure.

The Culture You'd Be Joining

GCA's team scored in the 97th-99th percentile across all categories of the Denison Organizational Culture Survey. This is a third-party-validated measure of team alignment, mission clarity, adaptability, and execution consistency. For practitioners considering where to spend their next chapter, that score signals what working here is like: a team that knows what it is good at, holds each other to a standard, and operates with the consistency that long-running client engagements demand.
